About Third Shore
Third Shore began with a garment.
Across the Caribbean, few pieces of clothing are as recognizable as the mesh marina—the lightweight mesh top worn for generations throughout the West Indies. Practical in the tropical heat, it became something more than an undershirt. It became part of the visual language of the islands.
For many in the Caribbean diaspora, another image became equally iconic: a young Trinidadian model wearing a simple mesh top with the word JAMAICA emblazoned across her chest. The photograph traveled far beyond the region, becoming one of the most recognizable expressions of West Indian pride ever captured in fashion.
That image inspired a question:
What if one of the Caribbean's most iconic garments could be reimagined for a new generation?
Third Shore was born from that idea.
But the name speaks to something deeper.
Many of our ancestors crossed oceans. Some came from Africa. Some from India. Others from Europe, China, the Middle East, and elsewhere. They arrived on Caribbean shores and created new cultures, new traditions, and new identities.
The islands became a second shore.
Today, many of us live beyond the Caribbean—in New York, Toronto, London, Miami, Atlanta, and cities across the world. We carry our food, music, language, traditions, and memories with us.
We now stand on a third shore.
Third Shore exists for those navigating all of those truths at once: where our ancestors began, where our cultures were forged, and where we are building our lives today.
Our launch collection pays tribute to that journey through a modern interpretation of the Caribbean mesh marina. Clean lines. Elevated construction. Island names worn with intention. Familiar enough to feel like home. Refined enough to belong anywhere.
Because pride does not have to be loud to be visible.
Third Shore is a celebration of heritage, migration, and belonging.
A reminder that no matter where we live, we remain connected to the shores that shaped us.
Minimal essentials. Built between shores.
